Built in 1937, this 80 year old bridge is widely considered to be the most photographed one in the world. This red beauty aids in crossing over one hundred thousand vehicles daily! Fly over her as the infamous California fog rolls across, making for stupendous photo opportunities. The roiling Pacific Ocean contrasts beautifully with the bridge’s crimson hue, and both are even further complemented by the radiant sun casting down upon them both; feel the salty ocean air whip around you and hear the gulls cry out to each other, further completing the real-life diorama. It is no wonder why many consider the Golden Gate Bridge to be the queen amongst bridges.

Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary

If the Golden Gate Bridge is the queen amongst bridges, then surely Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary is the king amongst haunted locations! Float over the island, and observe the odd harmony between the overgrown greenery and the dilapidated edifice that was once host to several notorious 20th century criminals like Al Capone and George “Machine Gun” Kelly! Feel your hairs stand on end as the haunted vibe emanates from the island itself. Alcatraz is widely purported to be one of, if not the most haunted location in the United States. Pier 39

A teeming shopping center located at the end of Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39 is a long-time favorite for both tourists and locals alike. As the helicopter soars over this famed boardwalk, glimpse the ever growing colony of sea lions perched atop rafts, basking in the San Fran sun! Coit Tower

A historical site, Coit Tower was erected thanks to the generous posthumous donation of Lady Lillie Hitchcock Coit, as part of her last request to beautify the city of San Francisco. Construction finished in 1933; the tower is said to resemble a fireman’s hose, as a subtle nod to Lady Coit’s love of firefighters, albeit it is also said to be a mere coincidence. Coincidence or not, the tower is impressively built in an art deco style, and is a massively tall structure, dwarfing the giant trees surrounding it.

Sausalito

A wealthy town combining hillside with seashore, this picturesque little burg sure has much to look at!
